About the Project
Commander Horde is a free, open cooperative PvE experience for Magic: The Gathering. Instead of competing against each other, your playgroup teams up to battle an automated Horde deck that plays itself.
Built for playgroups who want something different from competitive multiplayer, Commander Horde offers a fresh way to enjoy your existing card collection. No new cards needed, no special products to buy -- just bring the decks you already own and face the Horde together.
The project is inspired by the Horde Magic format popularized by the MTG community over the years. We took that beloved concept and built a digital engine around it -- automating the Horde's decisions, tracking life totals, managing turn phases, and providing dozens of pre-built tribal decks to battle against.
The key principle is simple: use your own decks, no special cards needed. Whether you play Commander, Standard, Modern, Pioneer, or kitchen-table Magic -- just shuffle up and fight.
